7 Essential Steps in Weight Loss for Men Over 40 YearsIf you've ever tried to get in shape with a weight loss program, you know how hard it can be for men. Of course, we tend to lose fat faster because the average male has more muscle mass than the average female. The problem is that we tend to want to eat what we have always eaten and understand that we will work it out for exercise.
Clinical studies have shown that people generally estimate the amount of exercise they do and underestimate the amount of food they eat. If the diet and exercise specialists hear the following a lot. "I tried to get back to my goal weight in the past and for some reason, always seemed to start with a lot of enthusiasm, and then five weeks later I lose focus or break with my program all together. It seems that I just can not make the goal. " If you have said this to yourself a few times in your life maybe you need to step back and evaluate what is missing from your program. What I have found is that there are usually six parts to the weight loss process for men especially if they are over 40 years old. Men begin to slow down at this age. Their metabolism is slower, their muscles are not as strong and their vision diminishes. Average age is not fun when you are out of shape. Here are my six essential steps to weight loss for men over 40 years. The trick is to not forget all seven rules when running your next weight loss program. 1. Get a full report This is essential if you are a man over 40 years old. If you are over weight, you can see diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other health problems, from the modern average male age. 2. Implementation of an action plan Before you even begin a series of pull-ups, you must have an action plan. You need a roadmap where you go and how you are going to get there. It must be written. This action plan should be consulted every day for the best possible results. I found that if you miss a day of entering your information, which is not much, but if you miss it by two days, you start the Slide to failure. The daily session should not be long, but it should include repressing your baseline results and reviewing your previous results. This is not really for tracking your results on a daily basis, but to keep you on track. 3. Eat six small meals You can not get around the fact that what you eat will influence how much you weigh. Even if you have a thyroid disease (your check will tell you if you doc) you can positively influence your body fat level by the foods you choose. To stay simple, eat six meals a day; No meal should be bigger than your fist. 4. Exercise muscle and cardio training Replacing your workout five to six days a week of cardio for no more than 30 minutes and an average of 40 minutes to an hour of bodybuilding. On your strength training days, you need to warm up and stretch the way you do your cardio on days. 5. Drink plenty of water You will need to get a gallon pitcher and refill every morning. If you can get a water filter out of your tap, get one. Place the pot in the refrigerator the day before is a great way for things to begin. Drink cold water for the thermogenic effect. 6. Get plenty of rest every night If you are a night owl like me, you'll want to review your calendar to get the maximum rest for your body. You will work your tail off of you to return to your goal and you need to get your muscles to recover properly in order to get the benefits. 7. Enter your head into the game This plan will not work unless you get downright committed to doing it every day. Success must be measured in minute-by-minute decisions. If mentally, you check your water intake, or enter your food portions, which is positive control. Your success will be measured in the amount of positive decisions you make the long journey towards your goal. You will slip from time to time, but if you keep track of your progress even when it seems that you are not doing much, you will still be able to make adjustments. Getting back into shape is not easy for men over 40, but you can do it. Health benefits alone are worth the effort. Your love life as well as your self-esteem will improve considerably when you are at your best. You can lose fat and gain your strength and stamina if you follow these simple rules.
